about

A white dwarf is what stars like the Sun become after they have exhausted their nuclear fuel. Near the end of its nuclear burning stage, this type of star expels most of its outer material, creating a planetary nebula.

In drumming we often fatigue while playing and this is a moment when pushing on through is so vital to creativity and expression.
Even a dying star has something to offer, and when you have a group of musicians, tired on tour you find that some of their best music comes out, because they are relying on muscle memory and experience to carry them.

By practicing repetition and endurance in drum rudiments we get to a place where we play automatically when we get to that stage, music is euphoric, we're no longer playing by numbers counts, rudiments, but by sheer spirit. It's when music becomes alive, robust with strength,
energy and feel.

So yes even the aged, the infirm, the tired and the weary, like the dying dwarf star it can still be heard, still has something to bring, something to offer and something brilliant inside of them, facilitated and extracted through Recreational Community Drumming, which is what makes
Drumbelievables unique and like no other.
